Journal One...Keep on rolling is an Innovation on Wheels

First things first… always get the attention of your audience. So how many of you want to get an “A” in this class and how many of you know the story of bringing an apple to school ...aka teacher’s pet. Well first thing we need to pay attention, that is the first rule in innovation. We need to know what a necessity is and what wants are. We also need to know what our customers want, their drives and desires.  What makes them tick and what makes them happy. So here is a hint (shhhhh) in case you didn’t notice Todd eats grapes red or green… so apples might work, but we know grapes are a go!
Pay attention!!
Everything we do changes us, it helps us to be more creative. If we pay attention, let ourselves escape, venture down new roads the journey will be full of color and exciting gadgets, devices, contraptions and thingamajigs. The mind is only limited if you set those restraints and restrictions.
Ok, so how long has innovation been around does it really only date back to Ben Franklin and electricity, the “light bulb” seems to be the image we think of when we talk about innovation. When and where did it begin? What about those cave men… fire, the wheel and how the heck did they kill those mammoth animals. Who invented the weapons, the lovely living facilities, not to mention who sewed their clothes? Innovation began in a land before time.  At least the time that we are accustom to.
The fast track to innovation can be traced by the road map of new inventions. Technology has increased the speed of what the world has in store for us. How did they the media and experts emphasize the importance of innovation? What once was a side note for some has become the norm for many, especially in the heart of this recession, individuals and businesses are looking at their personal interest… how we/they can innovate for future growth? Innovation is all around us. Stop and think before you ponder sacrificing your scarce resources (money that thing that makes this world go round) in innovation. Perchance you want to take that risk not a bad one as long as  you step back and ask yourself, “What is innovation?” and more particularly “how does innovation have an impact on you?”
You and I and he and her all know that the weak economy has slowed down the U. S. for the past couple years this will continue to push online learning innovations such as the nook... will books and libraries be a thing of the past? An array of new computer software is always replaced before we can blink our eyes. Beyond our horizon are innovative ways to reach the world we never knew existed? But it doesn’t end there… there is transit and services and food… yes food things that make us healthy, thin, stronger and even more alert. A pill that makes us smarter, younger and even help our brains retain like they did in our early years HOPEFULLY is on the drawing board. You never know it may be your innovation that makes it BIG. Think out of the box be creative and have fun on your new ventures.
As far as the verge project… good minds think alike but many minds get the job done. Come on team we can accept the challenge!
